ROOT CANALS

Save your precious smile

Root canals are a simple way to save a tooth. At Northside Dental Care, our streamlined process allows us to treat patients for a root canal within one to three visits.

What are the signs suggesting you need a root canal?

We usually offer root canals to patients who’ve developed either pain, pressure, swelling, or sensitivity around a tooth. But that’s not always the case. Every once in awhile, patients don’t even realize when a tooth’s nerve has died.

What happens during a root canal?

  1. First, we remove the affected tissue.
  2. Then, we’ll clean the tooth’s interior.
  3. Lastly, we fill the tooth with a dental composite. We’ll usually place a crown on top of the tooth to strengthen and protect it from further damage.

Note: A restored tooth can last a lifetime, as long as you supplement with regular brushing, flossing and checkups.
