OFFICE VISITS

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality dental care. We understand that you or your child may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.

Your first visit is all about you–your comfort, your happiness, and your health.

We understand each patient has different concerns and goals for treatment. For this reason, at the initial visit, the doctor will first sit down with you and understand your individual concerns. Next, we will review your dental and medical history forms, and take any necessary X-rays of your teeth. Dr. McRory will then discuss his findings with you, help you create your own individual treatment plan, and answer any questions you may have. At a follow-up visit, one of our hygienists will clean and polish your teeth, or give you specialized periodontal care, if the doctor happened to diagnose gum disease at your initial examination appointment.

Bring your smile along with these items to your first appointment:

  • Your completed patient information form
  • Your dental benefits card (if applicable)

Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!

The American Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy. The recommendation is every 3-4 months for patients with gum disease.

We understand you have a busy schedule. When preparing to visit the dentist, please remember that your initial examination appointment can last between 45 and 90 minutes.
